When the floating ball floats up and down under the buoyancy of the liquid, the interaction between the magnetic spring switch (or micro switch) inside the junction box and the arm end magnet causes the magnetic spring switch (or micro switch) to move. At the same time, it outputs an ON/OFF signal for alarm notification or remote control.

The side mounted float switch includes single contact and multi contact plastic float switches (PP foam and NBR) and all stainless steel float switches. The side mounted float level switch senses the level of liquid by the up and down movement of the float. Its application range is very wide, covering multiple fields and specific application scenarios, and is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, generator equipment, food industry, water treatment, and electrical engineering. For example, in the petrochemical industry, it can be used for liquid level detection of petrochemical storage tanks, liquid level control of various chemical storage tanks and reaction vessels; In the power industry, it is used for liquid level monitoring of equipment such as boilers and towers.

  1. The installation should be kept away from the water inlet (outlet) to avoid misoperation caused by water fluctuations;
  2. Installed in areas with mixing, anti wave tubes or baffles can be installed;
  3. The load of the control circuit cannot be used beyond the limit of the contact capacity;
  4.  The angle at which the float and its connecting rod move up and down (relative to the horizontal line) is ± 14 degrees, and the switch is activated when the float is in a horizontal position;
  5. During installation, attention should be paid to the length and aperture size of the connecting pipe that matches it to ensure the floating range of the floating ball.
Note: There may be a certain degree of error in the total length of the float and connecting rod parts.
