This 80GHz sanitary Tri-clamp radar level transmitter features seamless 316L stainless steel construction with no dead space, supporting CIP & SIP sterilization. Narrow beam angle effectively avoids interference from agitation, foam and condensation. With ±2mm high accuracy and 4-20mA/HART communication, it delivers non-contact contamination-free level measurement for pharmaceutical, food and beverage hygienic tanks.
The radar level transmitter operates on the time-of-flight principle. The radar wave travels at the speed of light, and its transit time is converted into a level signal by electronic components. The probe emits high-frequency pulses that propagate along the cable probe. When the pulses encounter the material surface, they are reflected to the receiver inside the instrument, which then converts the distance signal into a level measurement.
Product Features
① Utilizing in-house developed CMOS millimeter-wave RF chips to achieve a more compact RF architecture, higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and reduced blind zone. ② The 5GHz operating bandwidth enables the product to achieve higher measurement resolution and accuracy. ③ The narrow 3° antenna beam angle minimizes interference from the installation environment and enables easier setup. ④ The shorter wavelength provides better reflectivity on solid surfaces, eliminating the need for a special swivel flange for alignment. ⑤ Remote debugging and upgrade capabilities minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. ⑥ Bluetooth-enabled mobile debugging facilitates on-site maintenance operations.
Application Areas
This sanitary Tri-clamp quick-install radar level transmitter is applicable to various hygienic production scenarios, including GMP-compliant pharmaceutical sanitary tanks, food and beverage material storage tanks, bioengineering fermentation reactors, cosmetic batching tanks, as well as pure water and purified water system storage tanks.

Product Installation
Key Installation Considerations:
(1)Align with the target material level and ensure perpendicular incidence onto the material surface. (2)Avoid false echoes. Refer to the following typical working conditions.
Ensure no obstructions (such as step ladders or stairs) are present within the beam coverage area, as shown in Figure 1.
The instrument should be installed so that the antenna beam avoids the feed inlet,as shown in Figure 2.
Figure 1: Schematic Diagram of Figure 2 Instrument Instanllation Location
Mount the Instrument at least 20 cm(200mm) away from the container wall. Failure to do may result in false reading (See Figure 3).
For conical vessels, ensure the beam directly impacts the material surface at the bottom. Otherwise, measurement at the tank bottom maybe inaccurate (See Figure 4).
